More than 2 million older people live alone across the country, and the COVID-19 crisis has increased the number of people affected by unwanted loneliness and isolation. Other factors, such as mobility difficulties, physical frailty, chronic health problems, living in substandard housing or with architectural barriers, low pensions, and the absence of emotional ties and neighborhood or family support networks, have affected many older people. You can contribute to the “Seniors in company” project of Grandes Amigos to promote autonomy and social inclusion of vulnerable older people in isolation.
